Bart @ Saatchi

Een hele eer om de mogelijkheid te hebben een van mijn foto's tentoon te stellen tijdens de World Photography Awards te Cannes in het Palais de Festivals.

Van 21 t/m 25 April hangt de foto daar samen met 99 andere aan de 'Saatchi wall of fame'.

Dit zijn 100 uit ruim 14000 geselecteerde foto's die zijn ingezonden voor de Sony World Photography Awards.

Deze 100 behoren niet tot de 7 winnende foto's, maar krijgen een eervolle vermelding.

Quit a honour to get the chance to exhibit one of my photographs during the World Photography Awards in Cannes in the Palais de Festivals.

April 21 to April 25 you can see the photo together with 99 other photographs on the 'Saatschi wall of fame'.

These are 100 from 14000 selected photographs which send in for the World Photography Awards.

These 100 doesn't belong to the 7 winning photo's, but get a honourable indication.

Stel: Je hebt een huis gekocht met een behoorlijk stuk land met daarop een grote schuur.

Na enige tijd ga je eindelijk de schuur eens bekijken. Je knipt het hangslot door en eenmaal binnen gekomen blijkt de schuur afgeladen vol te staan met oldtimers.

Waar gebeurd? Ik weet het niet.

Maar de foto's van de inhoud van de schuur, gemaakt in Portugal, laten in elk geval zien dat ze er heel lang hebben gestaan

You bought a house with a large part of ground and a barn.

After some time you finally has to be in the barn. You cut the padlock and once inside the barn is full with oldtimers.

Treuly happened? I don't know.

But the pictures of the barn and its cars, made in Portugal, shows that the cars stood there for a long time

Geprobeerd om foto's te maken bij weverij De Ploeg in Bergeijk. Ze waren druk de machines aan het verhuizen.

Maar ondanks mijn beleefde en correcte opstelling mocht ik geen foto's maken. Company policy werd me verteld.

Jammer, want binnenkort sluit deze lokatie de deuren.

De productie verhuisd deels naar Aarle Rixtel en deels naar Zuid-Duitsland.

Het pand is ontworpen door Rietveld en zeer de moeite waard om eens nader te bekijken.

Nog maar eens proberen als het pand helemaal leeg staat dan....

Tried to make pictures of textile-factory De Ploeg in Bergeijk. People were very busy to move the machinery.

I ask them kind and friendly if it was possible to make some pictures inside, but i couldn't. Company Policy they told me.

A shame, because this location has to close the doors soon.

A part of the production moves to the nearby village Aarle Rixtel, the other part moves to sthe south of Germany.

The building is designed by Rietveld, which makes it a very interesting location to explore.

I just have to trie it again when the building is empty...
